How to Use the Internet & MA Wildlife Website to Find Popular Local Saltwater & Freshwater Fishing Locations – What You Can Catch & Suggestions for Tackle

Dylan Callahan from Concord Outfitters will share his Salmon fishing experiences on the Stillwater River which is part of the Nashua River watershed. The Stillwater rises in Princeton, Massachusetts and flows east to feed the Nashua River Watershed, and water flowing west feeds the Ware River or the Millers River, both heading to the Connecticut River.  The Stillwater is stocked with trout and salmon find their way into the river at high water from Wachusett Reservoir. There are also varieties of native fish depending location.

Club member Steve Kirk will do an interactive demonstration on the internet on how to find popular fishing locations in MA and discuss what tackle people frequently use for which species.

Potential Club Group Fishing Trip to Cuba:

Interested in fishing the pristine flats of Cuba for tarpon, bonefish and permit? Club member Lou Ureneck is pulling together a group for a trip to the legendary flats in April -- most likely the 2nd, 3rd or 4th week, depending on the schedules of those who might be interested. The trip will include time for fun in Havana. The fishing is fantastic -- tens of thousands of unspoiled flats along Cuba's southern coast. Prices below are complete including guides, boats, food and lodging.  Visas arranged by outfitter. Round trip airfare from Boston, which runs about $500, is not included.  Contact Lou at lou.ureneck@gmail.com : $3,195.00 (1 night Havana/ 4 days fishing), $4,405.00 (1 night Havana/ 6 days fishing). Havana time can be extended for about $150/ night.

Seminar is free and open to the public.
