Fisherman’s Night – Monday December 8, 2025, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Vinny from Concord Outfitters is our featured speaker
Vinny has been casting for stripers off the rocks and beaches of Ipswich, and also for smallmouth bass at local rivers and ponds for as long as he can remember. At age 14 he caught his first striper on the fly, and has not looked back since! He grew up in Andover, MA, fishing the Merrimack River for smallies, but as fate would have it, he also has a grandmother who conveniently lives right next to Crane Beach in Ipswich. Vinny was obsessed with fishing as soon as he could pick up a rod. Since that day, his passion for the ocean and for the sport of fly fishing has grown tremendously. His fly fishing addiction has brought him to places such as Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Through his travels he has learned from anglers and charter captains all over the globe. Even though Vinny is a striper guy through and through, he nonetheless loves all freshwater fishing, whether it is in the Rockies, Yellowstone Park, the White Mountains, or our own local waters. No trout or bass is safe from Vinny. If you have any questions regarding striper or fresh water fishing, or questions about flies and/or fly tying, you can find Vinny working at Concord Outfitters where he will be more than happy to push his addiction on to you!
After Vinny speaks there will be a short break followed by club members providing inputs on their fishing preference, experiences and suggestions for future fishing seminar topics.
Steve Kirk will be bringing some of his favorite freshwater and saltwater spinning lures and saltwater flies for informal show and tell afterwards.
Seminar is free and open to the public.
