Miles McCloy - Assabet Anglers
Miles McCloy was born and raised in Concord MA and started his guiding career taking out his parent's friends on the Assabet when he was 15. He has been guiding the streams of western MA for 25 years focusing on walk and wade fishing for wild trout or teaching beginners how to cast, read water, etymology, etc.
Recently he has moved back to eastern Massachusetts to focus on building a guiding business that focuses on the excellent fishing opportunities closer to Concord. This includes everything from native Brook Trout and Landlocked Salmon to Pike, Bass, Carp, and anything that swims in the rivers, lakes and ponds within 30 minutes of Concord.
He will be sharing information primarily on the Nashua and Concord River watersheds, and examining the diverse fisheries found in these areas. This includes the Wachusett Reservoir and its tributaries, as well as some of the exceptional stillwater fishing opportunities for Bass, Trout, and even Carp which are located in these watersheds. Also, Miles is not a flyfishing snob and enjoys fishing for ALL species with conventional tackle, even big wild trout. He enjoys fishing for anything that swims and is educated and experienced in catching those fish by any means necessary.
