2024 Kids Fishing Derby Details and RulesSunday May 5, 2024 (Rain or Shine) Registration/Rules: 9:00am Fishing: 10:00am - 12:00pm Lunch and Awards Ceremony: 12:00pm - 1:00pm 74 Strawberry Hill Rd, Concord, MA For kids 14 and under. Membership not required. Fishing licenses not needed. Shore fishing only. No fishing before 10AM. Must register at the clubhouse before participating/fishing. Lunch will be served after; all participants (kids) eat for free. Lunch tickets for adults $5 and donations accepted. There will also be a raffle to help defray costs. Fishing is catch and release, so please bring a pail or bucket. Bags also will be available. Trophies/prizes will be awarded for fish, by length. Measuring tables will be set-up and all fish must be measured by a club member. Ties for length go to the first fish in. Remember: Do not measure a fish that is smaller than one you have already weighed in! Participants need to bring their own fishing gear. Hooks and bobbers suggested. Worms provided. Experienced club anglers will be on site to provide help/instruction. Parents may assist as-needed, but should not catch fish. Please clean up all trash before you leave. NOTE: Each participant agrees to hold the Concord Rod and Gun Club and/or any sponsors, organizers, and event volunteers harmless from any liability of any nature and kind for any injuries and or damages suffered during or after the event. All participants do so AT THEIR OWN RISK. All minors must be with a parent or a guardian at all times during the event. Participants agree to abide by these Rules and agree that failure to comply with any of the rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes. The organizers reserve the right to amend, add to, remove or otherwise change any of the rules for this contest, without prior notice, if it is deemed by them to be in the best interest of all parties involved in the derby. Club Member volunteers will help register kids, help with parking, assist novice anglers, measure fish, and with food preparation and clean up. Questions?
